Welcome to Songcatcher Dachshunds located just outside historic Nevada City, about an hour and a half drive from both Sacramento and Reno. Nestled in the majestic foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains in Northern California. We have been raising dachshunds since 1988. All puppies are born and raised on our 4th generation family ranch in a nursery specifically designed to meet all the needs of our moms and their puppies. We raise Mini (Adult weight 10-13lbs) and Tweeny (Adult weight 14-18lbs) long-hair, smooth coated and English cream long-hair puppies in most patterns and colors. Aside from our Dachshunds, we raise cattle, laying hens and also breed foundation quarter horses. Our adult dachshunds are fed a high quality kibble and are suplimented with raw food, and our puppies are fed a high quality kibble. Our dachshunds have their very own living quarters within the innermost part of the ranch with controlled climate and huge, dog park-like yards for them to run and play all day long.

of careful breeding practices. We strive to have each generation born be superior
to the previous generation in both temperament and quality. Throughout the
years we have developed a close relationship with a small handful of well-established,
like-minded breeders. Our ultimate goal here at Songcatcher Dachshunds is
to provide wonderful family companions with excellent quality. We welcome
